Nearly seventy ago, one man had a vision for fishing lodges in one of the most beautiful and unspoiled corners of the world. Despite his death in 2008 at the age of 96, Ray Petersen’s passion lives on as we continue his legacy in the 21st Century.
Ray was an astute planner with a keen eye for lodge locations. He attracted guides and other staff with exceptional fishing knowledge, friendly spirits and sublime cooking skills to create Alaska’s premier sport fishing and bear viewing destinations.
Now owned Bristol Bay Native Corporation, Bristol Adventures embodies those same values today, ensuring that our guests experience more than a simple trip to a fishing lodge, but rather a captivating encounter with family-style warmth and hospitality in a place of extraordinary beauty and abundance, where memories are plentiful and hearts are full.
From the moment you set foot on the ground, your senses awaken to the pristine magnificence of Bristol Bay and to the exhilarating promise of the ultimate Alaska adventure.
Cast a line just outside your lodge… Boat or fly to a remote fishing destination.. Trek to Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park & Preserve to see the bears in action… Explore the volcanic beauty of the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes… Each day is an immersive experience teeming with excitement as you catch the ideal rainbow, snap the perfect pic, forge lasting bonds swapping fish tales around the fire, and turn in for the night filled to the brim with memories to last a lifetime and anticipation of the next day’s exploits.
