If any of those strike a chord, we have good news: You’re in the right place.
Who We Are
Bristol Adventures is rooted in tradition that stretches all the way back to 1950 when Ray Petersen’s Northern Consolidated Airlines first launched the Angler’s Paradise lodges, recognized as Alaska’s first fly out sport fishing lodges. The flourishing enterprise was eventually dubbed “Katmailand” and became Alaska’s premiere sport fishing and bear viewing destination.
Bristol Bay Native Corp (BBNC) purchased Katmailand in 2016 from the Petersen family. Brooks, Grosvenor, and Kulik Lodge, along with full service flight provider, Katmai Air, join BBNC’s previously acquired Mission Lodge under the Bristol Adventures umbrella, maintaining their rich and unique legacy, while providing exceptional service, personal attention, and world-class fishing and wildlife experiences to our guests.
Among these lodges is Alaska’s very first fly out sport fishing lodge (Kulik Lodge), an intimately sized remote “micro fishing lodge” that’s ideal for small groups or families (Grosvenor Lodge), the only lodge within walking distance to the famous bear viewing at Brooks Falls (Brooks Lodge), and one of Bristol Bay’s finest luxury fly out fishing lodges (Mission Lodge).
