Bristol Adventures is rooted in tradition that stretches all the way back to 1950 when Ray Petersen’s Northern Consolidated Airlines first launched the Angler’s Paradise lodges, recognized as Alaska’s first fly out sport fishing lodges. The flourishing enterprise was eventually dubbed “Katmailand” and became Alaska’s premiere sport fishing and bear viewing destination.

Bristol Bay Native Corp (BBNC) purchased Katmailand in 2016 from the Petersen family. Brooks, Grosvenor, and Kulik Lodge, along with full service flight provider, Katmai Air, join BBNC’s previously acquired Mission Lodge under the Bristol Adventures umbrella, maintaining their rich and unique legacy, while providing exceptional service, personal attention, and world-class fishing and wildlife experiences to our guests.

BBNC is an Alaska Native Corporation with strong ties to our people and our past. We’re committed to preserving the natural beauty and wonder of the area’s wildlife habitat both on the land and in the water.

Thanks for joining the adventure. We look forward to sharing our experiences with you.
