Arrival Day (Friday)

Arrive Dillingham [DLG] midday to early afternoon on any commercial or private flights. Our staff will greet you at the airport and transport you and your luggage to the lodge.

The lodge staff will greet you and show you to your room and give an abbreviated orientation. Pick up your fishing license in the gift shop, then get fitted in the boot room for your waders, which will be kept in your assigned locker.

Appetizers come out at 5:30 p.m. at the open bar. Dinner follows at 7 p.m. with a full orientation of the lodge and program, as well as an introduction to the staff.

Daily schedule (Saturday through Thursday)

  • 6 a.m.  Coffee, tea and hot chocolate served on 2nd floor foyer area and on the 3rd floor stair landing area.
  • 7 a.m. Buffet breakfast served in the dining room, including cereals, fruit and a hot breakfast.
  • 7:30 – 8 a.m. Planes and boats leave the dock. The fly-out board, located on the deck between gift shop and kitchen, lists your departure time, plane, guide and destination.
  • 5 – 6 p.m.  Planes and boats return to dock. Hang your waders and any wet gear in your boor room locker.
  • 6 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres served at the bar. The bar is open and self serve. Please ask if you do not see your favorite mixer or beverage. During this time, the head guide or manager will talk with you about your day’s experiences and where you would like to go after the next day.
  • 7 p.m. Dinner served in the dining room.

After dinner, the guides will have a short meeting to get their assignments for the following day. After the meeting they will come and find you to talk about your itinerary for the next day. If you retire early, the information will be posted on the fly-out board in the breezeway between the gift shop and the lodge. During the evening, we encourage you to enjoy the hot tub, sauna, a relaxing massage or a game of pool.

Thursday evening you can settle up any gift shop purchases and leave a staff gratuity. The airport departure schedule will be posted at that time.

Departure Day (Friday)

We leave the lodge approximately 2 hours before your flight, which is ample time for outgoing flights from DLG.
